I have been practicing Iyengar yoga since 2005 and have been teaching since 2010.  I now hold an Intermediate Junior level certificate certified by the IYA (UK ) and I continue to train and to be grateful to study with the teachers who have studied under BKS Iyengar.

My classes are held locally in Leek, where I am happy to have a fully equipped yoga room fondly known as the Kurmasana room  as well as teaching classes at the Dance Studio at Westwood College.

The classes that I teach are in keeping with the BKS Iyengar method and spirit of classical yoga. BKS Iyengar is the founder of a wonderful system of yoga practice that brings the alignment of the body under the watchful eye of your awareness….the ability to see yourself out of your body.

Through my path of understanding Iyengar yoga I have found wonderful depth, clarity and detail to the practice which I have not found any where else.  I have found new excitement for learning where I don’t give up, but return time and time again back to my practice on my mat on a daily basis.

I am fortunate to have travelled to many countries around the world with my previous work and have had beautiful times during my stay in India, since my time of study of Iyengar yoga , I am now fortunate to have visited Pune in India to study with the Iyengar family.

I teach  yoga to share with others the devotion and practice of Iyengar yoga so they too may benefit as I have, the intelligence in Iyengar yoga and the ability to see yourself outside your body, also to be a better person and to feel in harmony with this wonderful life and world around us.
